Benefits of the Fuel-Tech System.

The Fuel-Tech System is the most cost effective electronic fuel management system that caters for home based and on-road refuelling. It is a simple and robust system, designed to cope with our harsh local conditions.

The Fuel-Tech System has been locally produced by Micro-Alert for over 25 years and is in service with some of South Africa's leading companies in the mining, agricultural, manufacturing and transport industries with over 310 sites in service.

The solution provides a secure 24-7 electronic dispensing system that eliminates the necessity for any manual recording of transactions. On-road transactions are imported and included in the fuel management reports.

UNATTENDED OPERATION - Fuel is made available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 52 weeks a year.

SECURITY: PUMPS CANNOT OPERATE WITHOUT ACCESS - Complete integrity of the system is maintained by the use of coded magnetic, bar code labels or other means of identification and kilometre range checking which prevent unauthorised issues.

ACCURACY OF DATA - Issuing errors are reduced to an absolute minimum since the computer correctly identifies all transactions by date, time, vehicle, driver, kilometres, litres, fuel type, site and pump.

ELECTRONIC TRANSFER INTO FLEET MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS - Costly and time-consuming manual entry of fuel transactions into existing fleet management systems, internal or external, (e.g. First Auto, Stannic, SAP, etc) is eliminated by electronic transfer, freeing operators for more productive applications elsewhere in the company.

STOCK CONTROL - Dip-stick and pump readings can be reconciled with fuel receipts and issues on a daily or weekly basis for every site, tank and pump, thereby automatically turning the stock control nightmare into a hands-on up-to-the-minute procedure.

TIMELY MANAGEMENT INFORMATION AND CONTROL OF PILFERING - Powerful database reporting facilities allow immediate pin-pointing of irregularities arising from pilfering and uneconomic vehicle performance.  Savings of between 5 and 10% of current fuel expenditures are possible as a result of more effective control and timely management action. Comparisons between different makes, models and fleet categories could lead to long-term savings resulting from strategic vehicle purchasing decisions.
